Another year has passed and the Webb Weekend was as fun as ever! It was much warmer and the kids were a year older so it would seem they could get into trouble faster! We also had a great visit with Grandma Gary, Nina, Bob and Megan.
Here are a few pictures from the weekend.
This weekend GeeGee came for a quick visit. We had a fun filled weekend of soccer, a Father/Daughter Dance and an interesting trip to Ikea where GeeGee had her first Ikea dining and shopping experience. We can't wait for her, PopPop and Nana to come back at Christmas!
I know, I know....I haven't posted in MONTHS! Things have been busy around here. With school, stitches (small cut...5 stitches) and soccer it seems like every day we are constantly saying "we need to update the blog!"
As you can see from the pictures, the kids had a great time carving pumpkins (well...I carved, they just pulled out the seeds) and loved the Linda lane Halloween parade/extravaganza! Gwennie decided she wanted to be Cinderella riding a Unicorn and Hudson is channeling his Karate Kid (thanks Cousin Richard) and was Johnny Lawrence from the Karate Kid. He walked around telling people to "sweep the leg" and "no mercy" all day. Here are a few pictures from the last two weeks.
There is actually a reason we haven't posted for a while. Unfortunately I turned the computer off while it was doing something so for about 2 weeks we have not been able to use the home computer. Corbin finally got it working yesterday so here are a bunch of pictures from the last 3 weeks which include school, our trip with the cousins on Labor Day and last weekend's Kanuga adventure.
Today was Gennie's first day of Pre-K and she could not be happier! Mom and dad got a little teary but she just marched right up to the front door and headed in like she's been going for years. She met her teacher, sat down and told us to head on out and she would see us later!
Here are a couple of pictures from today.
This weekend the Webb and Duncan clan all gathered in Columbia at the Pine Island Club for another round of fun and sun! This year we were smart....catering and air conditioning in the Club House! Rather than sweating out in the heat over the grill, we took the work out of the party and had a wonderful catered lunch from Hudson's BBQ and then headed out to the porch and the pool followed by Banana Pudding and Chocolate Delight for dessert (which most of the kids loved). Here are some pictures from the weekend....there are also a couple of pictures of the dogs getting a bath on Saturday. As you can see the kids wanted to get in on the action as well.
A bit late but the weekend before last was the annual Webb family weekend adventure. As you can see from the pictures the kids had a blast (as well as the adults). We finally had a break from the heat and enjoyed cooler weather and a ton of pool time. Here are a few of the pictures we took including a little visitor we found in our car port at home.
It has been a while since the last post and I apologize...things have been super busy around the Meek household and I keep forgetting to update the blog. Last week I headed to Costa Rica with the youth from St. Martin's (our church) for their pilgrimage. The kids had a blast and in general...minus the excruciating heat and Indiana Jones' sized bugs, we all agreed that moving there would be super cool! Here are a few pictures of the week.
We
just got back from Oak Island and as you can see from the pictures, the weather was fabulous and we spent all of our time at the beach!!!
Here are some pictures from the weekend
This week was the big play set build weekend! After weeks and weeks of checking out play sets, we decided to go with a company called Kids Korner to build our swing set. We did a TON of research and really wanted to support a local company. We are so happy with the results! The end result are the pictures below and the kids could not be happier! We also hosted the end of the season pizza party with Gwennie's soccer team and the girls (and their siblings) had a blast playing in the backyard and enjoying pizza under the picnic table! Here are some pictures from the weekend and a few of what is now growing in our garden.
A bit delayed in sending this but we had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend with the kids. We had a nice sunny day and dinner with friends along with lots of swinging, the bounce house and mommy pampering time.
Tuesday Hudson decided he wanted to hide an tree seed up his nose so we took a trip over to the ER where as you can see from this picture, someone really enjoyed playing on the tables and flirting with the nurses. Here are a couple of pictures from the weekend.
As we all know Friday was literally the biggest princess day EVER! In honor of the Royal Wedding, we had a sleepover with Jena, Ayla and Reese and donned our facilitators and had an early morning tea party! I think the mommies were more excited for the kids but it was a wonderful event and we all had a blast. All the boys slept in and had a "boys night" at the pizza place while we snacked on cucumber sandwiches, scones and crumpets. Here are a few other pictures from the morning.
Big weekend here at the Meek household. Friday was a day off so we tried out Plaza Fiesta with some friends and then on Saturday we celebrated Reester! Miss Reese turned 2 and what better way to celebrate but with an Easter Egg Hunt! We then headed to SC to vist with family and have the annual Reunion in Northern Georgia. Overall a great weekend!
This week the kid's school had their annual Easter Bonnet Parade along with a Spring Fling which was a blast as usual which included an Easter Egg Hunt and a Petting Zoo. Here are pictures from the weekend
You might notice that they area behind the kids is missing something....we took down the old swing set this weekend (or Corbin did while we watched) and turned it into a raised bed. Dirt was delivered this week and after a good rain storm we should be able to start planting. Monday we had a taste of the strawberries that we are growing and Gwennie said they are "delicious!"
This weekend I traveled up to Boston to celebrate the pending arrival of Peggy's new baby boy or girl! It was also a great chance to see all of my friends from years past and their new children. Everyone looks great and so do their children. Here are a bunch of pictures from the weekend.
Well...it was a warm day on Saturday and the dogs were panting so we decided it was time to get the clippers out. I figured a side by side of the before/after was a good idea so you could see how much hair we removed from the girls. Here are a few pictures from the weekend. '
This weekend we celebrated Ben's 3rd birthday on Saturday with fabulous weather and fireman fun! Sunday we grabbed our bicycles and headed to the park and then topped off the day with s'mores by the campfire. As you can see from the pictures the kids pretty much loved roasting marshmallows....almost as much as their fathers! Here are some pictures from the weekend.
This weekend Miss Gwennie turned 4 years old! We threw a joint birthday party with her friend from school Lexi and had a pony and petting zoo in the backyard! As you can see the pony was a big hit as well as the 3 week old goat, the pig, the rooster, the sheep and the bunny! Lots of friends and family celebrated with us and overall it was a great party!
Look who's 40! Yes....Corbin turned forty on Friday. I somewhat surprised him (until we got to the parking lot) with a bowling party with his friends and our cousins that came up to see him! It was a GREAT party and we all had a blast. Here are the pictures from the party and Gwennie/Hudson enjoying the chocolate covered strawberries that GeeGee and PopPop sent over!
This weekend we had the chance to go to the circus! It is interesting to see how much the circus has changed since we were kids. I remember tents and smelling the circus from miles away. Now it is more of a production but the kids LOVED it.
Here are pictures from the day.
It has been a while since we have posted for good reason...we have been on vacation! As you can see from the pictures the family spent some time in Turks and Caicos at Beaches resort. Overall it was a wonderful vacation and we are happy to be back but missing the weather!
Here are pictures from the week!
It's been pretty quiet around here lately. We spent New Years with friends and decided to head home after ringing in the new year to play a little Dance Central on the Kinnect. As you can see, Michelle was not going to lose her concentration! This week checked out the new Monkey Joe's around the corner and today is a snow day for all of Charlotte so our buddies came over for some TV, snow and play time!
